As a part of the urban redevelopment of the building block facing Viale Monza, the Le Corti project involves the north wing of the inner lot, formerly occupied by a blacksmith workshop. The design for the duplex housing units, developed by ZPSTUDIO in collaboration with Al14, is set out from the creation of small gardens and internal courtyards, onto which two distinct units overlook. The apartments on the second floor have access to an exclusive roof top of about 30 square meters. The composition of the overall project imagines recreating a balance between the spontaneous vocation for a sense of community (with a precise reference to the Milanese “railing house” system) and a legitimate demand for privacy and intimacy. Total 8 units from 58 to 70 sq m with private gardens of 25/30 sq m.
