LIVING BLOOM - contest - 2003 3rd prize at OPEN LIVING IN CONTAINER: online consultation for under 40 italian designers. Installation on Italian living, Container Ground Exhibition - Tokyo Designers’ Week, Tokyo, October 2004 (National Institute for Foreign Trade and Newitalianblood.com). Within the narrow space of the container, Living Bloom stages a symbolic landscape, to be interpreted according to the way its ‘inhabitants’ live in it. The set is arranged as an implicit homage to Japan: the tray on top of the cushion in EVA shows compositions of fruit; it represents a gesture of opening and offering. The concept of a modern conviviality the design beyond all categories, thus becoming the fulcrum around which the new trend of living spins. |
