CHAN CHAN - contest - 2005/2006

International design contest for a beach lodge on the archaeological site of Chan Chan Citadel, Perù. A suspended pavilion in the desert, consisted of a weight bearing steel frame which supports the lodge volume; the frame is made of hydraulic system tubes, ensuring the natural water heating and contemporary cooling of the interior environment. The central pond recalls the element in which was focused the town life of the Chan Chan people, or better the well; the pipes are emerging from the tank to cool the environment. Project Group: Matteo Zetti, Eva Parigi, Edoardo Cesaro (with the students from the Laboratory of Design V – Master's degree in Architectural Design, Faculty of Architecture of Florence , Prof Alberto Breschi).
